FAQ
Your data, answered.
The specifics, for when you want them.
Your data stays put
Your services and data are confined to the region you choose. They do not transit or replicate to another jurisdiction.
You stay in control
You are the controller; we operate as your processor under a clear agreement you can read before you commit.
Independently audited
Built on certified, audited infrastructure, with independent attestations added as we grow.
No hidden hands
A short, named list of everyone who can touch your data. No undisclosed third parties.
Where does my data live?
In the region you choose: Canada or Europe. Your services and stored data stay in that region and do not leave it.
What law governs my data?
Canadian law for the Canada region (including PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25), and European Union law (GDPR) for the Europe region.
Can the US CLOUD Act reach my data?
No. Nimbula is not US-owned and not US-operated, so there is no US legal route to compel your data, wherever you run it.
Who runs the underlying infrastructure?
The data centres are run by an independent, European-owned infrastructure provider; never a US company. The specific provider is named in your data processing agreement.
Is there a data processing agreement?
Yes. You are the controller and Nimbula is your processor. The agreement is available to read before you commit, not after.
What certifications do you have?
The infrastructure is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and independently audited. Nimbula adds its own attestations as we scale.
What can I run?
Managed compute, object and block storage, and core networking to start, with notebooks, GPU, containers, and managed databases on the way.
When can I start?
Nimbula is in private preview. Join the waitlist and we will open access by region and by the kind of work you do.
